Salt glazed ceramics - Stoneware

The salt glaze is formed on the biscuit body by reaction of common salt with the clay body constituents toward the end of firing. Temp. 1300 C.

The big advantage of these stoneware is that it is allways completely waterproof and then also fully acid-salt-alcohol-resistant.
